I’m also a retired Army Officer, Helicopter Instructor Pilot and former airline pilot. My favorite food is anything German. Least favorite? Kimchi, Escargot (Schnecken in German), and Monkey brain (don’t ask). Generally speaking, if you can step on it on a sidewalk, I won’t eat it, even if it’s served in a restaurant in garlic butter and a fancy name! Just sayin.
I’m an adult educator, trainer, and former Instructional Systems Developer holding a Masters Degree in Adult Education with 30 years of teaching in helicopters, airplanes and classroom academics. I’m currently a training manager for pilots and mechanics attending a large federal aviation agency. I hold project management certifications from the Project Management Institute.
I’ve served in various capacities in the local Christian churches that I’ve been a member in, including Deacon, Sunday-School Teacher, Midweek service preacher, Choir Director, Song Leader, and various committees.
I’m the Husband of one wife, a Thinker, Hunter, Shooter. I enjoy choir, 4-part Southern Gospel quartet singing, and dark roast coffee. If your coffee won’t float a plastic spoon, then it’s too weak. Too many years freezing in a tent with the Army, but I digress.
I trust that your time on this website will be a blessing and time well-spent, and if you are without a saving relationship with Christ, that you act on what you learn here while there’s still an opportunity in this life to do so. God Bless!

101st Airborne Division “Screaming Eagles”, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Proof that I had hair at one time! I blame the helmet for my follicle damage!

Journalist Ted Koppel, after returning from an arial tour around war-torn Bosnia and Herzegovina (Former republic of Yugoslavia). Doesn’t look like we scared him too much.

Can you find me in the choir?

Retired, 20 years, 16 days.

UH-60 Blackhawks. Lead and two “chase birds” landing to pick up the NATO Supreme Allied Commander at NATO Headquarters, Brussels, Belgium.

Flying by the heavily shelled and destroyed Hum communications tower in the capital city of Sarajevo, Bosnia. Beautiful country, but I’m not exaggerating when I say that every single house and structure had bullet holes…even in the mountains.

Pheasant from the sky. Tasty.

Bird Assassins (Brother-in-Law and Me).
